This is a half smile/frown review. I LOVE this dress. The fabric is very soft and smooth. The colors are GORGEOUS. But, when I tried putting my older doll's arm into it, the sleeve ripped at the top. The fabric must be delicate. I don't know if this will stand up to DD's play or not. I doubt it. I have to wait to get a new dress...Boo Hoo!!! But I believe it is the PRETTIEST dress I have gotten yet! And my first impression was that I didn't like it. Boy was I WRONG!!! Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with the sleeves being very tight. Ours didn't rip, but snagged in two places from the velco....they are sending us another too...hopefully it will work better!

The dress really is just lovely. The background is actually a very light blue/greeny color not off white like it looks to me in the pictures.

Wonder what percentage of these dresses are having to be replaced? Worse, how many moms are ordering them early for Christmas and not trying them on the doll? There will be some sad little girls Christmas morning!

That really is a shame... I wonder why these new dresses have had such quality control problems. You'd think AG would have a standard test for all their products, so this would be an anomoly or something. Quite odd.

Glad to hear you were otherwise pleased with the dress though... it does look so lovely in the pictures!

I place a large order on 9/6. I ordered all the outfits for Elizabeth and the tea dress for Felicity. My order arrived yesterday and all the outfits fit both my dolls. I had to take time to get their fingers in the sleeve but it was not a problem. My only complaint was the lack of side slits on the dresses. I will call CS and voice this complaint. I did buy Elizabeth the corset and hip hoops and these really make the dresses look so nice. Baby Polly is so adorable. I bought the nightstand to have a flat service for all of the new and old items for both of them. I am only waiting now for Felicity's party treats and the carriage. I now have both Felicity and Elizabeth dressed in their tea dresses. I forgot to add that Elizabeth's cape is beautiful. The fabric is so soft and warm looking. The only item that gave me any problem was the necklace for ball gown. I may add another jump ring to make is easier to hook.

The good news is that they are replacing the dress for me. AGfun...I agree the web pic doesn't do this dress justice. It is so beautiful!

Not everyone knows that AG has such a good return policy. It would be sad if parents buy these expensive items for their daughters and then don't realize that they can return them when they tear. I know I would just try to sew it up if I didn't know any better.

What is wrong with Mattel and these dresses. So far that's all I've heard about the new line. There isn't a drastic difference in sizes between PM and M I think they are trying to find a cheap way out and still charge higher prices. Someone in upper management screwed up.
